The article is inaccurate in saying that KBR is no longer owned by Halliburton. Although they planned to sell KBR in 2006, they backed off when they discovered how profitable it was and only sold a minority stake [*]

Halliburton is notorious for ripping off the war effort in every possible way, including fraud and kickbacks [*], denying insurance payouts to its own employees [*], denying first aid to other companies' contractors [*], charging for pipelines it never built [*], and on and on.

Oh yeah, and it's also been caught serving unsafe food to our troops [*]. American capitalism at its best.
