Just to put this into context, Exxon Mobil's profits soared 36% this year to a record $10.4 bil/ quarter [*], Lee Raymond was rewarded with an all-time record bonus of $400 mil for his part in raising gas prices and profits [*], while channelling millions of dollars to Repug campaigns in a "charm offensive' [*]. Guess it must have worked.

Oh, and in case you are wondering, it never paid the money it agreed for the cleanup of the Exxon Valdez oil spill in 1989 [*].
