Yes, because industry analysts and trade groups write the headlines, the public shrugs when the first case of mad cow strikes a US born cow that can't be blamed on anyone else. So where did the disease come from? Who knows? We don't care. Do any other cows have it? Who knows?

I have been eating "way too much beef" lately. My only correction to this problem is to eat chicken (range or otherwise not caged) or pork (these are omniverous animals so I can hang with that). I won't eat fish because of mercury poisoning, god I'm going nuts trying to figure this out.
My main "beef" is with us as a people. I have little or no desire to be with you. I have little or no desire to be like you. I have the least littlest desire to even come out of this alive, so to you in the know, KMA. I am not going to promote the wholesale slaughter of animals (domestic or not) nor will I promote myself as a thinking person. I will become an automaton. A living, breathing copy of what I was. I will live off of nuts and berries and to hell with you "civilized" monsters. I am the AUTOMATON... Cringe at my power you meat eating wimps. I have a little history here. I have a weak spot for comic books. I don't collect them nor do I think there is a market for them (the publishers can print any amount they want to satisfy any need you want.) I see the same thing with CARDS. I can almost see the attraction of money here...

Great website. I wish you would post more references to where you got you're stories so your reporting will stand up well to critics. Maybe it's just my Apple, but I'm unable to link to the souces of stories.
USDA beef inspections were cut down by 4/5th's as a favor to the ranching industry, by the Bush Crime Family. Europe and Japan have banned US beef independantly because of their concern about the US habit of feeding ground up nevous systems back into livestock feed. Of course that grizzly pratice survives because it's immensely profitable. This is where mad cow comes from. These creatures did not evolve as meat eaters, they are essencially herbavors forced to be cannibles or starve. Their immune systems thus did not evolve to protect them from infected brain and spinal cord tissue. But what do you expect from a neocon movement (dems too) who surpress science and stamp out free speech? Thank the Cosmos for the Iguana!
But even so, because Americans are now in a nervous slumber, the previous poster is right!
