RUSH ACCUSED OF TEN FELONIES, But won't face jail
Palm Beach County prosecutors rejected an overture last month from Rush Limbaugh's attorneys that would have allowed the conservative commentator to enter drug rehabilitation rather than face criminal charges for prescription drug abuse, according to the Sun Sentinel:
Prosecutors say they think they have evidence that Limbaugh committed at least 10 felonies by illegally obtaining overlapping drug prescriptions, according to documents released to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel on Thursday. They offered to end the investigation if Limbaugh pleaded guilty to a single felony for "doctor shopping" and agreed to a three-year term of probation, a deal that Limbaugh's Miami attorney Roy Black called "preposterous" on Thursday... [*]
Even probation is too much for the saintly Rush martyred by back pain and his war against those would weaken America. That would imply guilt, which Rush does not believe in, at least for himself. Now that they have refused the deal, let's throw the book at 'im.

If he doesn't take a deal they probably will ask for jail time

Rush was looking for the "Get of Jail Free Card".
In Florida for first offense drug possession you can get court approved drug rehab and propation. If you stay clean they expunge the record: no arrest, no conviction, no need to re-apply for your civil rights. It isn't cheap as the rehab programs cost thousands, so the poor need not apply.
The State's Attorney isn't having it, he wants a felony drug conviction.
